Less Talk More Rock
I don’t care what you like
I don’t care what you hate
I just want to see some music
For the going rate
If its not what youre buying
Then its what youre selling
I don’t care if youre screaming
Singing or just yelling
No one cares about what you know
They all paid money to see the show
Don’t you think you should impress
Some girls your age?
But you cant do it with that banter on stage
If you’ve had enough of those who think theyre tough
What I want to hear you sing is less talk more rock
Talk is cheap, but the ticket’s not
For those who paid to get in say less talk more rock
Yeah im sure you can talk, for how long?
Cause ive seen bands talk more than play songs
And I know why you think youre funny
Cause youre doing nothing and taking peoples money
I don’t care what you like I don’t care what you hate
I just want to see some music For the going rate
If its not what youre buying Then its what youre selling
I don’t care if youre screaming Singing or just yelling
If you’ve had enough of those who think theyre tough
What I want to hear you sing is less talk more rock
Talk is cheap, but the ticket’s not
For those who paid to get in say less talk more rock
I found myself in very different musical worlds coming out of high school. Still attached to the roots that this band was founded on, seeing many a concert at the avalon and axis clubs. But also finding myself in more subversive atmospheres, such as basements, churches, and other community centers. But I found myself really surprised at some of the parallels between these scenes. Whether you’re a longstanding professional ska outfit, or a largely elusive hardcore group, sometimes its hard to avoid shallow and meaningless banter. Whether it be endless facebook, twitter, merch or myspace plugs. Or now defunct bands, who’ve reached a legendary status post mortem, who dwell on internet drama during their shows. It was hard for me to be so influenced by the motives of bands like Fugazi, to then watch bands I respected go on and make a fool of themselves based on the way that they treated their fans. Especially in some of the ways that I watched older men make sexist remarks towards the obviously younger girls in the crowd. This was one of the first instances I remembered thinking, that sometimes it doesn’t matter how great a performance is, if their actions before after or in between are inconsiderate, this can absolutely deter the positivity of an event. Now, it is much harder to disconnect these two elements and be forgiving. It serves as a constant reminder that good music can be written with not necessarily the best intention in mind and we can’t be too quick to forget this.

hey all,
as you may already know, we released our first full length album last week entitled Forge On. In the coming weeks, as we prepare our physical releases in anticipation of any release shows that may happen this summer, I’d like to provide some anecdotes for each of the eleven tracks from the standpoint of the lyricist.
Some of these lyrics were written many many moons ago. So in hopes of reconnecting with some of the content and properly setting up context, we can bring the motivation of these songs back to the present. Hopefully this will give you all an understanding of where we’re coming from.
In addition to any lyrics and description, we’ll also provide a full list of musicians that play on each track, seeing that it does change from track to track. We were very lucky to have help from some wonderful people and we want to make sure that outside of the physical release, that they get some recognition.
So we’ll go sequentially through the album and every few days we’ll post another track for you to soak in and hopefully better understand our intentions, lyrically and musically. Who knows, maybe we’ll throw in a few little fun facts and easter eggs along the way, studio anecdotes, who knows? So stay tuned and most importantly FORGE ON!

It is with great great pleasure and anticipation that we give a long awaited announcement. After years of toiling, and hours of laboriously redefining what this band stands for, and what it means to us, we present our first full length effort Forge On. The culmination of of a seven year effort as a band, that reads as a reflection of those times, good and bad.
After the release of our first EP, this band saw many changes, which we are nearly all portrayed in the instrumentation as well as the lyricism of this record. This outfit, though largely inactive due to re-prioritization of bigger picture life events, are already in preparation to properly orchestrate this effort as well as re-imagine the songs that this band held roots with.
FORGE ON will be released on WEDNESDAY MAY FIRST for digital download, with physical versions available through the band soon after by mail order and at shows. To celebrate its release, we will announce a series of album release shows in places that we hold closest to our hearts.
